Discounted Admission to the Blanton Museum of Art for Friends of the French Legation Museum

Starting September 18, 2011, with the opening of the much anticipated Storied Past: Four Centuries of French Drawings from the Blanton Museum of Art exhibit, Friends of the French Legation Museum will receive two for one admission to the Blanton Museum of Art through the end of the year. What is Storied Past: Four Centuries of French Drawings from the Blanton Museum of Art? "Drawn primarily from The Blanton's Suida-Manning Collection, this exhibition of 58 works explores the material and social history of the French drawing. Preliminary sketches , compositional studies, figure studiesm and finished works dating from 1500-1900 demonstrate the medium's breadth. among the artists included are Jacques Callot, François Boucher, Jean-Baptiste Greuze, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, François-Marius Granet, Théodore Rousseau, and Théophile Alexandre Steinlen."
