History on the Hill and Junior Docent Camps!
The French Legation Museum is happy to announce its 2011 Summer Camp Schedule.
Children ages 6-11 are invited to join us July 18-22 and August 1-5, 2011 from 9AM- 3PM for a week of adventure as we travel back in time to explore life in early Austin. Children will enjoy learning about food, clothing, travel, livestock, parties, music, and life on the frontier. Cost is $100/week and $25/day. Registration information can be found here.
Students ages 12-17 are also invited to apply to become a member of our inaugural class of Junior Docents. Junior Docent Camp will take place June 27 - July 1, 2011, and applications are due March 31, 2011. Junior Docents will be trained as museum aides and given opportunities to go behind the scenes as they join in our efforts to share the history of the FLM with our community.
